IG2 covers Gants Hill and Newbury Park, where the Eastern Avenue slices through interwar suburbia and two large roundabouts do most of the work, with long parades and crowded side roads between them. Everything opens at £49, with the relevant figure confirmed before dispatch. Battery boosts, damage-free opening, fuel, tyre work and flatbed transport, at any hour, and nothing to subscribe to.
IG2 opens at £49, with the relevant figure confirmed before an operator commits. Crews try to be there inside 22 minutes across Gants Hill, Newbury Park, Cranbrook and the Barkingside edge. Routes come in on the A12 Eastern Avenue or up Cranbrook Road. The call-out is not billed on top, no annual plan exists, and 1am on Horns Road is priced as 1pm on Horns Road.

Gants Hill roundabout is where the Eastern Avenue meets Cranbrook Road and Woodford Avenue, with a subway system underneath and traffic on every arm at almost every hour. There is no safe place to stand still on it. A car that has failed on the roundabout itself is moved off as the first action, onto whichever arm has the nearest usable kerb, before anybody starts looking at the fault.
East of the roundabout the A12 Eastern Avenue runs as a fast multi-lane road towards Newbury Park with service roads on either side in places. Those service roads are the safe option and drivers often do not realise they are there. If the car can still roll, getting it onto one changes the whole job. If it cannot, everyone leaves the vehicle and waits well back from the carriageway.
Newbury Park station sits beside a listed bus station with its distinctive curved canopy, and the parking and interchange around it are busy from early until late. Cars are left in the surrounding streets for days by commuters. The immediate roads are narrow and often one way, so the approach and the exit are planned together rather than the truck simply arriving and hoping. A named side street beats a landmark every time round there.
Cranbrook Road runs north from Gants Hill through parades of shops with flats above, side turnings at regular intervals and parking that is under pressure throughout the day. Bays are short and there are bus stops at intervals. The practical approach is to load in a side turning where there is genuine space rather than on the parade, and to move the car a short distance to get there.
Horns Road, Beehive Lane and the streets between them form a regular residential grid that is wide by inner London standards and still full once residents are home. There is normally a workable spot within a short distance of the casualty, and finding it is faster than trying to force a ramp down between two parked cars outside the address itself. Neighbours here are usually happy to move a car if asked early.
The housing across IG2 is overwhelmingly interwar semis, and a large proportion have had the original garage converted and the drive widened over the front garden. That leaves a shallow parking area with a gate post at each side and a narrow dropped kerb. Cars come off those drives on a controlled pull to the road, with the ramp lowered on the carriageway where there is room.
The northern edge of IG2 runs into Barkingside and Fullwell Cross, where the street pattern and the parking rules change without anything visible on the ground marking the line. It is easy to give an address that is technically in one district and practically in another. A street name with a nearby junction removes the ambiguity and gets the truck to the right parade first time.
On the western side the postcode runs down towards Valentines Park and the Ilford boundary, with roads that carry through traffic between two busy areas. Parking restrictions tighten as you go west. A car that has failed near the boundary is often better moved a short way east into a quieter residential street, where a ramp can come down without anybody being held up. That short move costs a minute and saves a queue.
Around Aldborough Road and the pocket of light industry near Newbury Park there are trade units, workshops and yards mixed in with housing. Access varies from an open frontage to a locked compound, and gates shut in the evening. If the car is behind one, somebody with a key needs to be reachable, so a contact name in the booking is worth more than a detailed description.
