Eltham and Mottingham work begins at £49 and reaches all of SE9: the Well Hall Roundabout and the A2 slips, the A20 through Mottingham, the Progress Estate cottages, the thousands of interwar drives, Avery Hill and the climb towards Eltham Park. The aim right across Eltham is 22 minutes, whatever the hour. Figures are displayed before dispatch and no membership is involved.
Car recovery in SE9 Eltham costs from £49, displayed and locked in the app ahead of anyone being assigned. The aim across Eltham and Mottingham is 22 minutes, covering the high street parades, Westhorne Avenue and the South Circular, Court Road and Footscray Road, the garage courts south of the railway and the sloping driveways that fill every interwar street. Setting up a booking takes moments, the truck is tracked live, and the total is charged to a saved card or either phone wallet. Night rates match daytime rates.

Semi-detached Eltham keeps cars on the drive for days. Battery tested, then boosted there.
Kerbed rims from the high street bays. Replacement tyre fitted beside your own house.
Keys shut inside near the Palace or the parades? Door opened without a scratch anywhere.
Tank dry on the A20, or a misfuel at the forecourt. Right grade delivered to the vehicle.
Examined on the drive or at the kerb first. Many Eltham calls stop at that point.
Well Hall Road meets the Rochester Way Relief Road at a large roundabout where A2 traffic joins and leaves at speed. Slip roads, multiple lanes and no useful verge make it the worst place in SE9 to stop. Recovery there is a lift-and-clear job with cones set a long way back, and nothing is examined until the casualty is off the roundabout and standing on a residential turning.
Sidcup Road carries the A20 across the southern part of the postcode as a fast dual carriageway with grass verges and long gaps between exits. Traffic runs quickly at every hour and the hard standing is minimal. Anyone who stops there is better off sitting inside with seatbelts done up than out on the verge, and the operator turns up with beacons already running before anything at all is touched.
The Progress Estate is a garden-suburb layout of cottage-style housing with narrow curving roads, hedges, verges and very little turning room. Verges will not carry a loaded truck once the ground is wet. Loading happens on hard surface, drawing the car across on the winch where needed, which is why an operator would rather have the nearest junction than a house number on those particular roads.
Most of Eltham is 1930s semi-detached with a stub drive and a dropped kerb, which changes what the work looks like. A boost or a wheel change happens off the carriageway in relative comfort. The recurring difficulty is a car that cannot be rolled off a sloped drive because a brake has seized or a tyre is flat, and that is a controlled winch rather than anything pushed by hand.
The high street is a busy shopping run with buses, loading bays in constant use and short-stay bays on either side. Enforcement moves quickly and a stationary car draws attention within minutes. The practical answer is to lift first and diagnose second: the vehicle goes onto the bed and into a quieter turning off the high street before anybody starts working out why it stopped.
Westhorne Avenue carries the A205 across the middle of SE9 between Eltham and Lee, wide, fast and lined with houses whose drives feed straight onto it. Pulling out of one of those drives is difficult at the best of times. A breakdown on the avenue itself is cleared to a side street quickly, because stopping traffic on the South Circular has consequences well beyond the immediate junction.
Avery Hill Park and the campus buildings sit on the eastern side with long boundary walls, wide verges and gated entrances that are not always open. Parking spreads onto the surrounding roads, particularly in term time. Where a car sits inside a campus or park barrier the operator needs somebody able to open it, so that detail belongs in the booking rather than being discovered on arrival.
Mottingham sits south of the railway with a mixture of interwar terraces and post-war estate housing, laid out with cul-de-sacs and garage courts that were sized for far smaller cars. Several courts have restricted entrances. Recovery works the same way as elsewhere, but the truck stops on the through road and the vehicle is brought out to it rather than being reached where it stands.
The northern edge climbs towards Shooters Hill through Eltham Park, and the roads up there are steep, tree-lined and dark at night. Gradients find weak clutches and tired handbrakes on the way up, and there is little room to work at the roadside. Chocks go in first, the loading direction follows the slope, and cones are set generously because the bends limit what drivers can see.
