Teddington and Hampton Wick sit between a lock nobody can drive across, a park that closes its gates at night and a bridge that queues into Kingston. TowManVan covers TW11 from £49. Say which shore you are standing on and whether a gate or barrier is involved, and the price is fixed before a van is sent.
Teddington and Hampton Wick jobs are quoted from £49, rising to £69 once the car must travel on a deck. Name the road plus the junction nearest to you, state which side of the river you are on, and read the restriction off the nearest plate. Expect a half-hour target, with the Kingston Bridge approach the likeliest hold-up.

Teddington's Victorian terraces park solid and the riverside roads are narrow, so a jump start at £49 usually means the van holding the road for several minutes. State which road, the house number, and if the car faces the kerb or the crown. Where the street is one-way, give the direction so the driver arrives at the correct end.
Ferry Road and the lanes toward the lock have soft edges and a camber that makes jacking awkward. A wheel change at £120 wants level ground and clearance beside the car. Say which corner went down, whether the spare is a full-size wheel, and whether there is room for the van to stand without blocking the road completely.
Keys shut in at the Broad Street shops, or in a Bushy Park car park? Entry attendance is £55. Give us the make, the year and which door or the tailgate is stuck. Inside the park, note the gate you used and how long remains before the vehicle gates shut, since that decides whether tonight or tomorrow is realistic.
Misfuelling on the A310 usually becomes obvious within a few hundred metres. Do not restart the engine. Report the fuel, the quantity and if the car moved afterwards. Waldegrave Road is too narrow to work on at a busy hour, so the car may have to be moved into a residential turning before the tank can be drained safely.
Teddington's side streets give a roadside inspection at £69 a fair chance of succeeding, particularly around Udney Park Road and the turnings off Stanley Road. Where the car has stopped on the High Street or on the bridge approach, that is unrealistic and the priority becomes moving it. Say which of the two applies when you call.
The two constraints here are width and crossings. Teddington Lock carries footbridges only, so a car on the far bank is nothing like a short hop away, and Kingston Bridge queues for much of the day. Give the road, the side of the river and the heading you were on, and the transporter route is planned around those facts.
A long run from Teddington starts by getting clear of the local bottlenecks, which the quote allows for. Journeys begin at £149 covering the whole route. Give the delivery postcode, a contact who will be present, and any restriction at that end, including whether the car can be left on a driveway or has to go into a yard.
Teddington's shopping street runs with parades on both sides, short-stay bays and delivery activity throughout the day. A stationary car occupies space that turns over every few minutes, and the loading bays are already in use. Name the shop opposite, state which kerb you sit against, and read the maximum stay off the plate. If the car steers, moving into one of the residential turnings converts a difficult loading position into a simple one.
Teddington Lock is crossed on foot, not by car. A vehicle on the Ham bank is a long drive away even though it is plainly visible from Teddington, because the nearest road crossings sit at Kingston and Richmond. When you give a location near the water, name the bank explicitly. Saying you are near the lock is not enough by itself, and getting it wrong costs several miles and a queue at a bridge.
The roads through Bushy Park carry a low limit, deer move freely across them and the vehicle gates shut overnight. It is neither a shortcut nor an ordinary highway. If your car has stopped inside, name the entrance you entered by and the closest car park, then say how long remains before closing. A car left after the gates shut stays until morning, so timing matters more than the fault.
The road down to the water is narrow, ends without a turning circle for a long car, and lies below the level of the surrounding streets. Water reaches the lower part on high tides. State how far beyond the final house you have gone, if the surface is wet, and what is parked behind you. The driver may reverse in rather than drive to the bottom and find no way back out.
Hampton Wick sits at the London end of Kingston Bridge, and traffic crossing backs up along the approach for much of the day with no alternative crossing nearby. A car failing on that approach blocks a queue that cannot easily divert. Get out on the pavement side, say which way you had been pointed and how far you are from the roundabout, then assume the first move to be clearing the approach lane.
The streets off Stanley Road and around Udney Park Road are late Victorian terraces built before cars, with no off-street parking and continuous kerbside occupation. A transporter needs roughly a bus length plus ramp space. Count the free kerb near your vehicle, say whether it lies in front or behind, and mention whether the road is one-way. Those three details decide whether the car loads where it stands or moves first.
Several large sites in Teddington have their own gates, barriers and internal roads rather than public access, and a recovery driver cannot just drive in. If your car is inside one, find out who controls the height barrier and whether a transporter is permitted. Pass on the site name, the gate, the car park and a contact. That phone call takes a few minutes and saves a wasted journey for everyone.
The A310 through Teddington carries buses and through traffic on a carriageway that parked cars narrow considerably. Loading on it holds up a route with limited alternatives. Where your car has died there, the nearest residential turning is usually the answer, and a car that still steers can often be brought to one. Say which direction you were going and how far the nearest side road is.
Give the registration and colour, then the road and nearest junction, then which bank you are on if you are anywhere near the water. Add whether it will roll, steer and sit in neutral, then the destination. Finish with the rule printed on the nearest post and any gate or barrier. In Teddington the bank and the barrier are the two details most often omitted, and both change the route.
