Car Recovery Salford
Fixed Price. No Membership.

Salford is a city of waterfront apartment decks, tight Victorian terrace grids and fast dual carriageways, and each one breaks a car in its own way. TowManVan covers M3 Chapel Street and Greengate, M5 Ordsall, M6 Pendleton, M7 Kersal, M27 Swinton, M28 Worsley and Walkden, M30 Eccles, M38 Little Hulton, M44 Irlam and the M50 Quays, plus the M602 spur and the M60 arc from Junction 12 to Junction 15. Operators aim to be with you inside half an hour. Jump start from £49, lockout from £55, towing from £69, and the figure you approve in the app is the figure you pay.

TowManVan runs 24-hour car recovery across every Salford postcode, from MediaCityUK and Salford Quays through Pendleton, Eccles and Swinton out to Irlam and Cadishead. Jump starts, lockouts, tyre changes, fuel delivery, roadside diagnosis and flatbed towing are all booked in the app with the total shown before dispatch. Car Recovery in Salford - What You Need to Know

01

MediaCityUK and the M50 Waterfront Decks

The apartment blocks ringing MediaCityUK and Salford Quays park their residents underground, behind roller shutters and height bars set around two metres. A full-size bed cannot follow you down the ramp, so the car is winched up to quayside level on a low-clearance unit and transferred there. Add the Metrolink alignment crossing Broadway and the evening squeeze onto Trafford Road, and an M50 job turns on finding staging space as much as on fixing the fault itself.

02

Ordsall, Regent Road and the Port Traffic Grid

Regent Road carries container and dock traffic between Trafford Park and the city core, while the Ordsall streets behind it are close-packed terrace with cars nose to tail on both kerbs. A car that dies on Ordsall Lane blocks a bus route within minutes. Operators work out an approach that lets them load from the running lane under cones, because reversing a truck into a terraced street with no turning head is how a twenty-minute job becomes an hour.

03

Pendleton, Broad Street and Salford Royal

Pendleton climbs along Broad Street between the shopping precinct and the university, ringed by tower blocks whose podium parking sits under low soffits. Salford Royal on Stott Lane layers shift changes and visitor turnover on top. Cars left in hospital bays through a long admission come back with nothing left in the battery more often than any other single fault here. Loading usually starts with a winch out to the access road, because the bays themselves are too enclosed for a bed.

04

The M602 Spur and the Eccles Interchange

The M602 leaves the orbital at Junction 12 and runs into Salford with continuous hard shoulder only in short stretches, so a failure between Eccles and Regent Road leaves very little refuge. Patricroft and Winton either side are narrow streets with rear entries no truck will fit. Barton Bridge is the other pinch point: when it swings for a ship on the canal, traffic stacks back onto the motorway and one stopped car turns a queue into a standstill.

05

The A580 Through Swinton and Worsley

The East Lancashire Road runs dead straight through Swinton and Worsley at national speed limit, with grass verge where a hard shoulder ought to be. A car stopped there sits exposed on fast dual carriageway, so the first move is placing the truck as a shield before anything is hooked up. Worsley's braided interchange at Junction 13 catches drivers out and generates late lane changes, while the gated closes at Boothstown push the loading point back out to the through road.

06

Walkden and Little Hulton on Old Colliery Ground

Walkden and Little Hulton grew on pit land, and the interwar and postwar semis there have rear entries barely wider than a bin. Driveways are short and steeply cambered, so a car that will not start is often winched down to the road before it can be loaded. Manchester Road through Walkden runs bus lanes past a busy retail frontage, which means a mid-morning failure needs a quick lift rather than a long roadside diagnosis at the kerb.

07

Kersal, Higher Broughton and the Irwell Valley

Higher Broughton and Kersal climb away from the river along Bury New Road, a corridor of large Victorian villas cut into flats where every kerb and shared drive is already taken. Kersal Vale and the meadows below sit on the Irwell floodplain and go under after sustained rain, catching out cars left low near the water. On these hill streets an operator cones off a lane briefly and works from the downhill side so the winch line stays straight.

08

Irlam, Cadishead and the Ship Canal Crossings

Irlam and Cadishead sit apart from the rest of the city, reached along Liverpool Road with the Manchester Ship Canal on one flank and the railway on the other. Both swing bridges can hold traffic for shipping movements, and the rail bridge by the station limits what will pass underneath. Behind the main road the 1930s estates use garage courts too narrow for a full-length bed, so anything in M44 is better served by a compact unit.

09

Chapel Street, Greengate and the University Quarter

Chapel Street has been rebuilt around bus priority, segregated cycle lanes and the new residential towers at Greengate, leaving almost nowhere legal to stand a truck between Trinity Way and the Crescent. Peel Park and the university buildings pile term-time permit pressure onto the same kerbs. Operators pick the loading spot before they set off, normally a side street off the Crescent, because a recovery vehicle parked in a Chapel Street bus lane creates a second problem on top of the first.
